The first post-Not what I expected

I left my book of notes at home, so everything I had compiled thus far didn't make it to the internet cafe, but honestly, did anyone expect any less of me? This is my second day here in Amsterdam, my first day where I was aware where I was and wasn't just gibbering shit on account of my sleepless 23 hour plane journey, but I'm here in one piece, though sans my backpack (it was lost in France somewhere I am told) and thus has defeated the whole notion of backpacking and has consequently turned this into a 'walk around the Dam with a sad plastic bag' packing adventure. Anyway, hopefully this keeps you satiated until I find my damn notebook.
